Hidden Idol has been serving up classic and original tiki drinks since 2017. After spending the past 2 years in the upstairs back room of another bar, Hidden Idol has ventured out on their own, setting up at 2240 Clay Street in Denver’s Jefferson Park neighborhood. And we bought out the place for the night! The big grand opening on June 21 was the perfect way to welcome the summer. Now Hidden Idol is thrilled to host this Denver Modernism Week party and show off their new digs and menu to tiki-philes and Modernaires.
Put on your favorite tiki shirt or dress and get ready to party Hawaiian style! Step back to 1959: mid-century modern design reigns, the space race is on, rock rules the radio, Marilyn likes it hot on the silver screen, and the USA is smitten with its newest state, Hawaii! Things kickoff at 7 PM with a presentation by Polynesian Pop Culture expert and author Mike Skinner who will be entertaining us with tales of the tiki traditions and locations of Denver throughout the years. Afterward, it’s time to mingle with friends new and old and groove to the best surf rock you’ll ever hear.
Good to Know
Two different event options: Option 1 is from 7-11 PM and begins with Mike Skinner’s presentation. Option 2 is from 9 PM to 1 AM for those who prefer a later start. Ticket price includes two tiki cocktails and one appetizer per person. You’re free to order off the menu as well — actually, it is very encouraged, as the Hidden Idol is eager to show off their new food offerings!
